Stop the drums...oh somebody PLEASE stop the drums!!!
.... she says, clutching her throbbing brow.
Let me explain....
Mother paid us a visit yesterday afternoon to regale us with tales and photographs from her recent jaunt to China . I despise people who travel overseas... mostly as I am yet to do so myself and also mostly as they refuse to smuggle me along!!! The visit was also to present Munchkin 1 with a belated birthday gift.
Oooooooh there were lots of goodies for us all really. My cache included this gorgeous puzzle carved from a single block of wood...

... a card showing my name in chinese calligraphy, 'authentic' tiger balm (hopefully not made out of real balmy tigers however) and a jar of crushed pearl antiwrinkle cream... which if I threw on a bit of lippy and wedged a fan into my hair.. would have me looking kinda like a geographically misplaced geisha!
Munchkins 1 and 2 did equally well.
They each received chinese dolls....

(tis a little bit blurry...the cat was walking on me!)
.... and..... DRUMS!!!!
Lucky drums to be precise.

they really are nice drums... really
Traditionally used for centering the chi... calming the mind and so on.. but in the hands of two rampant Munchkins, producing quite the opposite effect.
In fact, one could safely say that my chi.. such as it is.. currently feels like a gorilla is dancing the conga on it! A gorilla practicing for his Tap Dogs audition even!!
