It's raining.. it's pouring...

... and I was more than likely snoring. Forgot to bump my head on the end of the bed though so I had to get up this morning!!

Being a stormy day in Sydney, I wasn't surprised to find that the drop-off zone at the Munchkins school this morning was something akin to a maniacal parking garage!

We all know how these things are supposed to work.... using the taxi rank system.. you drive in.. continue to the end.. stop (without shutting off the motor)...jettison your Munchkins.. and proceed out again.

Sounds simple right? Well, to those of us who procured our driver's licences in the usual fashion (ie..gratuitous bribing of an RTA official!!).. it is. But to the 'wrote to Kelloggs when the promised plastic drivers licence wasn't in the bottom of my Coco Pops box' crowd.. it's an opportunity to practice that seldom seen art of triple parking (or quadruple-hence-blocking-of-entire-road parking).

I appreciate that it was raining a little this morning when we were all abandoning our children to the rigours of scholastic torture for the day... however school uniforms will NOT dissolve in wet conditions (at least not since 1973 anyway), so it really isn't necessary to drop little Johnny Kafoops off right at the gate to ensure that only seven drops of rain strike his fair head rather than nine.

Especially since stuffing earthworms up his nose in his infancy didn't kill little Johnny Kafoops..... so nine raindrops certainly shouldn't!!

*Please note any resemblence to any persons by the name of Kafoops is entirely unintentional (maybe). Any driver's licence obtained from a Coco Pops box is purely decorative (definately). And no earthworms were harmed in the making of this post (absolutely).
