DayTrippers R Us!!
Once again I slavishly forced the Pea (our little green(ish)car) to do the one thing she really doesn't like doing.....that being, to drive us anywhere!
This time, Munchkin 1 (9 turning 19 lately) and Munchkin 2 (6 and very good at it), were forced to join me. Well... it was either that or have them ping-ponging around our little cottage, on a post-easter-chocolate-overdose thing!
So.. we made our way out to Wisemans Ferry on the Hawkesbury River without getting geographically embarrassed (read: lost) and with only 17 'are we there yet?s' from the backseat... it being illegal in the state of New South Wales to bind and gag your Munchkins and drive with them in the boot of your car. Can't imagine why that is but am sure there's someone official I can write to about it!!
It really was a gorgeous day. We had a short stop at Wisemans Ferry Park....
almost threw Munchkin 2 in here!! (not really)
... then made our way further out to St Albans and stopped at the Settlers Arms.. a beautiful old sandstone pub.

And then it was a very scenic drive back around to the ferry and home again.... playing ' I Spy' most of the way. A highly technical game where everything seemed to start with 'W' when it was Munchkin 2's turn... including things like 'horse', 'tree' and my personal favourite..'bird' (which had always flown away by the time we got to 'spying' it!)
On waiting for the ferry on the return trip, we noticed this....
should we be worried?
I don't know. Not exactly confidence inspiring is it!
