Isn't Evolution an amazing thing?
.... everything around us is evolving all the time. Especially our relationships with other people and with ourselves. (Warning: semi-deep post coming up!!)
I was only just thinking how much things change. How much if you force change, it usually backfires on you but if you go with the flow... bending like a reed in the wind as the saying goes... it's really so much easier on your life.
Take our parents for example. We start off relying on them as children... as we grow to adulthood it evolves into friendship (or not in some cases) and then sometimes ultimately finishes in a complete role reversal where we end up caring for them as we would a child.
All relationships are the same. Some weather the storms and some don't and as you get older you appreciate more and more the ones that are still standing when the weather clears.
Good friendships are hard work but if they weren't we wouldn't cherish them as we do.
